How we approach it
It's the inverter's kW rating that limits you, not the number of panels on your roof
Before we quote, we add up every circuit you want backed up under real, simultaneous load, not just the sum of appliance nameplates. An undersized inverter will trip the moment your fridge, pump and kettle all call for power at once, no matter how many panels are on the roof. Battery capacity is worked out the same way, in kWh against your actual overnight draw, so the system carries you as long as you expect it to, not just on paper.

How long will my battery last during load-shedding?
It depends on your battery's kWh capacity and what you're running off it. We calculate this during the load audit using your actual appliances, not average estimates, so you know exactly how many hours of backup to expect before you sign off on a system.
Do I need council or municipal approval for solar?
Grid-tied systems need to be registered with your municipality and Nersa before they're switched on. We handle that registration as part of the installation, so you don't have to deal with the paperwork yourself.
