This large-scale commercial solar project in Sandton involved the design and installation of a 100kW grid-tied rooftop solar array across two interconnected office buildings. RAH Contractors installed 220 x 455W bifacial panels paired with three 30kW three-phase inverters, following detailed structural assessments of the existing roof and custom mounting solutions to suit the building’s profile.
The system was integrated seamlessly with the building’s existing distribution board and is expected to generate an estimated 450-500kWh per day, meaningfully reducing both the property’s operating costs and its reliance on the grid. All installation work was carried out to SANS 10142 standards, with a Certificate of Compliance issued on completion.
