Kyalami Solar & Borehole Pump Integration
Ground-mounted hybrid solar system that keeps a Kyalami smallholding's borehole pump running off-grid.
RAH Contractors designed and installed a ground-mounted hybrid solar system for a smallholding in Kyalami, with the primary goal of keeping the property’s borehole pump running independently of the grid. The installation comprises 20 x 460W panels on a ground-mounted frame, paired with a 10kW hybrid inverter and a 15kWh lithium battery bank.
As with our other borehole integrations, the pump was wired through an automated controller that prioritises battery charging, so the household’s power needs are never compromised by pump operation. All work was completed to SANS 10142 standards, with a Certificate of Compliance issued on handover.
